Pa Wars, 3rd Jan 2010 - Uawa

As you can see this page is aimed at keeping whanau near and far up to date with Pa Wars happening in Uawa Jan 3rd, 2010.

This is a fantastic opportunity for Whanau to come together as one to represent Okuri Marae. To be big players at this huge event we will need to increase our numbers so whanau we need more participants on board the waka to represent in each activity, game, sport. A win is guaranteed money in the bank which will go towards restoring our Marae, it is early days yet whanau, so start making plans to head home.

There are more than 20 sports and events for you all to participate in, everyone will have the opportunity to compete.

For each event we enter, a Team Co-ordinator is required so if your not playing you have an opportunity to volunteer for this position.

Unfortunately, participants can only compete in one event, because many of the events will be running back to back ( no games will be held up waiting for players to arrive )

Good news, you don't have to be affiliated to Okuri to participate on the day however, you can only compete for one marae not 2 or we will lose points. Guess who won't be very happy!!!!!

There will be more updates coming your way Whanau so watch this space.

A new blog will be started soon where Whanau/ Supporters can register their intention to attend, participate for Okuri at Pa Wars 2010.

If you have any queries or would like to know more info, please contact Tui Henry: Okuri Marae Pa Wars Co-ordinator - patoromu@xtra.co.nz or 04-9730132
